Morehead Memorial Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital located on a 22-acre campus in beautiful Eden, NC. It is licensed for 108 acute-care beds and 134 long-term care beds. The main campus is home to inpatient and day hospital services, a state-of-the-art emergency department, a birthing center, a nursing center, a cancer treatment center, and three office buildings for physicians.  It has an active Medical Staff of 55 and a consulting/courtesy staff of 35.

Built in 1960, the facility has undergone numerous expansion and renovation projects to improve technology and provide additional health care services based on the demonstrated needs of the community.  This modern equipment and procedures include Electronic Medical Records System, CT, MRI, Lithotripsy, Vascular Laboratory, Laser Surgery, Angiography, Digital Mammography, and Stereotactic Breast Biopsy Procedures.

In addition to the main campus, Morehead Memorial Hospital has three off-campus sites: 

• Morehead Urgent Care - West, providing treatment for injuries and illnesses, medical screenings and evaluations, and occupational health services.

• Wright Diagnostic Center, providing a Wound Healing Center, the Lou McMichael Miracle Breast Imaging Suite, Morehead Urology Associates, and patient financial services.

• Morehead Physical Rehabilitation, providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, massage therapy, and functional capacity evaluations.
