Formed in 1968, GCRPC is a voluntary association of local governments and special districts enabled by the Regional Planning Act of 1965 and Chapter 391 of the Texas Local Government Code. We serve the Golden Crescent region of Texas, also known as State Planning Region #17, encompassed by Calhoun, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, and Victoria Counties. Association members include seven counties, nineteen municipalities, nine special districts, and ten associate member organizations. Our mission is to provide outstanding public service in a financially responsible and ethical manner. GCRPC provides various services for members, clients, and the public through three service departments: 1) Aging and Community Services, 2) Regional Services, and 3) Public Transportation Services.
