Golden Dreams is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit public organization dedicated to enriching, improving, and empowering the lives individuals with special needs (both children and adults)—and their families—who can benefit from therapeutic equestrian activities. In Homeaddition to serving the needs of our riders, we serve as a hub for volunteerism in the area. Why? The short answer is because it is heartwarming. Examples: watching students begin our program who could not sit upright on the horse progress to independent riding. Or the parents who report their children’s progress from nonverbal status to voluntary greetings and conversations with horses and fellow riders.olden Dreams Therapeutic Riding Center was established at Baileywyck Farm in Middleburg, Virginia, in 2006. The nonprofit program combines the founders’ love of equines with their belief in giving back. Since commencing operations, Golden Dreams has made a difference in the lives of many children and adults in Middleburg and the surrounding communities. Riding lessons are given by riding instructors assisted by up to three volunteers per rider. We currently provide services to twenty riders, utilizing five horses, with the help of over twenty dedicated volunteers. In addition to riding lessons, Golden Dreams offers special needs and awareness programs for regional schools and the community at large. We also participate annually in the Loudoun County Farm Tour.
