Good Shepherd Mediation Program operates as Philadelphia's sole nonprofit community mediation center. It uses mediation and related conflict-resolution approaches to help disputants find nonviolent, lasting solutions to interpersonal conflicts. A small staff works with a broader network of trained volunteers to address disputes among youth offenders and victims, families, neighbors, employers and employees, and tenants and landlords. Based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and founded in 1984, GSMP also provides trainings, workshops and consulting services related to mediation and conflict resolution. In 2022, it partnered with the City of Philadelphia on the Eviction Diversion Program, which offers mediation for landlords and tenants at no cost.
