The Gospel Music Association (GMA) operates in the entertainment sector and is based in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 1964, it supports the Christian and Gospel music community through education, advocacy, research, and preservation of its heritage. The organization maintains a portfolio that includes the GMA Foundation and Gospel Music Hall of Fame to honor past contributors, the Dove Awards to spotlight current artists, and IMMERSE, a program that trains up-and-coming talent. In June 2026, GMA partnered with Gaither Music and The Museum of Christian & Gospel Music to create fan experiences during CMA Fest 2026 in Nashville, linking fans with artists and the broader Nashville music scene. This collaboration demonstrates the association's active role in industry events and partnerships that support the Christian and Gospel music ecosystem. The organization's work spans historical preservation, ongoing recognition of current talents, and initiatives for future professionals in the sector.
