Officially founded on July 1, 2022, the Greater Kitsap Chamber results from a decades-long conversation between the business communities of Bremerton and Silverdale and two years of hard work between the two communities to merge their local Chambers of Commerce. Founded in 1904 (as the Bremerton Board of Trade) and 1973 (as the Central Kitsap Chamber of Commerce), the Bremerton and Silverdale Chambers were well-known and respected in the business community, and it’s this shared history that serves as the foundation for the Greater Kitsap Chamber. Now the largest business association on the peninsula, the Greater Kitsap Chamber is a “catalyst for positive change, convener of leaders and influencers, and a champion for the business community.”

The Greater Kitsap Chamber supports two visitor centers to support tourism in Kitsap County. One is in downtown Bremerton on Pacific Street, and the other is located in the Kitsap Mall in Silverdale.
