The Greater New Orleans Foundation is a mid-sized regional philanthropic organization based in New Orleans, Louisiana, serving the Greater New Orleans area. It connects donors and fundholders with causes they care about and coordinates resources to deliver both immediate and lasting community impact. In addition to grantmaking, the foundation provides civic leadership to address regional challenges and to improve residents' daily lives and opportunities for future generations. With roots dating to the Community Chest of New Orleans, established in 1924, the organization has a history spanning more than 90 years in supporting regional philanthropy and recovery efforts.
