Greenhouse is a non-profit organization based in Boulder, Colorado, focused on sustainable, generational change in under-resourced communities. It operates from within those communities by partnering with motivated young leaders, the Scholars, and surrounding them with a lifelong, diverse support network. The program integrates education as a gateway to opportunity, a cross-generational community that mobilizes its collective resources, and access to leadership development and related resources to drive change from within. Outcomes include a college graduation rate of 98% for Greenhouse Scholars, substantially higher than typical rates for low-income, first-generation students, along with alumni whose starting salaries exceed those of their parents and peers. The organization has funded new companies and projects and supported more than 400 community initiatives, reaching thousands of communities and hundreds of thousands of people each year through mentoring, volunteering, coaching, and related activities. In 2022, a partnership with TAG Associates helped expand Greenhouse Scholars presence in New York.
