Specifically, Grid Fruit’s AI-based technology provides energy efficiency and grid incentives to commercial refrigeration. Using machine learning with enhanced monitoring and dynamic control, Grid Fruit improves refrigeration cycles to eliminate wasted energy and emergency maintenance procedures. This reduces operational costs and food waste while transforming commercial refrigeration systems into thermal batteries for the grid.  This, in turn, allows food stores to receive demand response rebates and reduce the stores’ peak demand charges.
