Group Vivendi Africa (GVA) is a telecommunications operator in Africa that provides Very High Speed internet access by building and owning its own fiber network. It pursues long-term investments to expand fiber connectivity and support digital development across its markets. The company began operations in Libreville, Gabon, in 2017 and has since extended to several cities, including Lomé, Pointe Noire, Abidjan, Kigali, Brazzaville, Ouagadougou, Kinshasa, and Kampala, while being headquartered in Paris, France as a Vivendi subsidiary. GVA operates in urban markets across Africa, delivering high-capacity connectivity to users and organizations that rely on broadband services. Its activities have spurred local job creation and the professionalization of engineering and digital skills in the cities it serves, and in 2024 it expanded into Uganda with the launch of CanalBox fiber service.
