Grow It Green Morristown promotes health through urban agriculture, discovery-based learning and equitable food access. The joy of creating positive experiences and building community around fresh food has the ability to change health outcomes, particularly for communities most impacted by nutritional insecurity and access to green spaces. Grow It Green Morristown creates more than just beautiful green spaces. We create a point of contact between various stakeholder groups, that might not otherwise have an opportunity to encounter one-another. Putting your hands and hearts in the soil is a necessary and important way to build community and care for the health of its people and the land which are one. We believe that programs around fresh food and creating more just and sustainable food systems inspire change and self sustaining resilience throughout entire neighborhoods. You can't separate social justice and human rights from a commitment to biodiversity and a flourishing food system - they go hand in hand!
