Grow Smart RI is a Rhode Island–based nonprofit organization focused on sustainable economic growth that preserves the state's quality of place. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it advocates policies and initiatives intended to revitalize walkable urban and town centers, expand housing options and affordability, broaden transportation choices, support a vital agricultural sector, and promote responsible stewardship of natural resources. In its public policy work, Grow Smart RI seeks to educate citizens, business leaders, and elected officials about trends affecting disinvestment and loss of open space, and to promote state and local strategies to address these challenges. A governance update in 2022 included the appointment of Kyle J. Lynch to the board for a three-year term.
