Guerrilla Games is a European video game developer based in Amsterdam, North Holland. It originated in 2003 from the merger of Lost Boys Games, Orange Games and Digital Infinity, and was later acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment after Killzone launched on PlayStation 2 in 2005. The studio employs about 400 professionals from 25 nationalities, with offices positioned in the cultural and historical center of the city. Its Horizon series has been central to its recent output, beginning with Horizon Zero Dawn for PlayStation 4 in 2017 and PC in 2020, followed by Horizon Forbidden West in 2022 and the Burning Shores expansion in 2023, as well as the PSVR2 title Horizon Call of the Mountain. Within the computer games industry, Guerrilla operates in the space of expansive, open-world action games and related experiences.
