GUIDE, Inc. is a substance use and abuse prevention agency serving Gwinnett County, Metro Atlanta and the State of Georgia since 1986.

GUIDE's mission reflects the current understanding that in order to prevent the problems associated with substance use and abuse, a community must be prevention-focused, address the factors that put individuals at risk and provide opportunities to actively and positively engage young people in their families, schools and communities.

GUIDE’s mission is to improve community conditions by utilizing collaborations, promoting positive youth development, delivering specialized training and resources and preventing substance use and abuse.

GUIDE's mission is accomplished by:

*educating the public about issues associated with alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and abuse;

*recruiting diverse partners for collaborative efforts promoting positive youth development, improving community conditions and addressing other issues associated with substance use and abuse;

*acting as a catalyst for community development efforts that build prevention capacity; and

*providing consumer-focused, research-based prevention services that address local needs.
