Established in 1837 in Greensboro, N.C., Guilford College is committed to equipping students with the skills, experiences, and perspectives necessary to create positive change in the world. Our curriculum emphasizes team-based, interdisciplinary projects that address real-world problems locally and globally. Guilford's Division III athletics — known as the Quakers — are part of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Women's varsity teams include rugby, cross country, basketball, softball, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, swimming, triathlon, and volleyball. Men's varsity teams include basketball, baseball, football, cross country, lacrosse, golf, tennis, and soccer. Our student-centered approach is evident in our small class sizes, averaging 14 students. This environment fosters exploration across diverse majors and minors, encouraging students to exceed their own expectations. Guilford is recognized in "Colleges That Change Lives" for its engaging, supportive, and challenging academic atmosphere.
