Gunter Pest Management began in 1950 when Roy Gunter, a resident of Overland Park, Kansas, started a small pest control business at Lake Lotawana, Missouri. As news of his great service spread, his business expanded into Kansas City, Johnson County and eventually into the entire metropolitan area.  

We're a 4th generation family-owned company providing three services to the KC metro area:  Pest Control, Lawn Care and Fire Safety.  This year marks our 65th anniversary of providing Pest Control services to Kansas Citians!  

We became well known by the KC community with our green and white Volkswagen Beetles our technicians started driving in 1990 alongside the motto: "The only bugs you'll want at your home will be ours!"  We pride ourselves on trust, quality of service and expertise.  We constantly work to stay up-to-date on pest control techniques, researching high-quality chemicals and creating the best experience possible for our customers from scheduling to treatment.  

Another of our mottos: Go Green, Go Gunter -- it's important to us to focus on being an environmentally conscious company.  We were the first pest company in KC to drive Volkswagen Beetles instead of trucks as our service vehicles, cutting our carbon footprint and using less gas to reach our customers.  We use a low-odor residual for our residual chemical and for termites, the "green" Sentricon System.
