Halifax Health is a regional health care system based in Daytona Beach, Florida, that has served Volusia County for more than 95 years. The organization operates as the area’s Level II Trauma Center, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, reflecting its role in high-acuity and specialized care. It extends its capabilities through formal partnerships, including Brooks Rehabilitation for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and pediatric therapy, and University of Florida Health/Shands for heart and vascular surgery and neurosurgery programs. The entity serves residents and visiting patients in Volusia County who require urgent trauma care, stroke treatment, neonatal intensive care, and related rehabilitation and surgical services. It pursues community health initiatives, such as the Falls Prevention and Assessment Program launched in 2025 and delivered through local YMCA locations. In March 2026, Halifax Health announced a leadership change with the departure of executive director Joe Petrock.
