Harlem Business Alliance (HBA) is a New York–based nonprofit organization in the information services sector that advocates for Harlem’s business community. Founded in 1980 and incorporated in 1990 as a 501(c)(3) entity, HBA works to preserve and retain local businesses by fostering public/private partnerships and providing education, advocacy, and support to existing and emerging enterprises, residents, and youth. Its remit includes strengthening economic viability within Harlem through collaboration with local and out-of-state organizations and engaging a diverse membership that includes minority-owned businesses and major local institutions. The organization operates from Harlem, with a focus on influencing decision-making at local, state, and federal levels, and it has pursued initiatives aimed at expanding opportunities for Black-owned businesses. A recent development is the launch of Young Bosses of Harlem, a program announced in 2025 to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.
