Harris Environmental Group is an award-winning natural and cultural resources consulting firm which began its journey in 1993. Its founder Lisa Harris has been an environmental compliance professional since the mid-1980s and has helped a wide range of clients successfully navigate environmental rules and regulations. She holds a PhD in natural resources, an expertise in marketing, and is a published novelist based on her travels to far-away and wild places. Lisa hires well-qualified professionals with expectations of the same high standards that she holds for herself when caring for the natural environment and the cultures that inhabit them; past, current, and future. Our staff consists of highly experienced personnel to undertake natural and cultural resource surveys, as well as environmental regulatory projects involving National Environmental Policy Act, Marine Mammal Protection Act, and Endangered Species Act compliance as well as Clean Water Act permitting. We have developed numerous natural and cultural resource reports and associated documentation, such as state site and architectural forms, National Register of Historic Places nominations; Biological Assessments; Environmental Impact Statements; Environmental Assessments, Wetland Delineation reports, Mitigation Reports, and other NEPA support. Our goal is to develop strong partnerships with our clients in order to successfully meet the mission of their project. We do not dwell on our egos and we do not sell snake oil (but we do know about snakes)! Our staff members are experts in their given fields, with strong educational and technical backgrounds that allow more versatile skills beyond their degree. We believe in minimizing our footprint, recycle, reuse, and reduce our impacts to this earth we call home. We grow urban gardens, save wayward pets, and practice good will as an innate part of our personalities. We like each other, our clients, and people in general. We laugh, have fun, and live life!
