Hartan first opened its doors in 1986. Today, headquartered in New York City and with several offices across the country, Hartan operates as a mid-sized agency with a service-oriented, regional focus and the ability to also take a national position. We represent excellent, top line carriers with very strong A. M. Best ratings, and in certain cases, operate as a managing general agent.

Our business is developed through Brokerage, Specialty Programs and exclusive arrangements with our retail clients. We are firm believers that our ability to understand and anticipate future industry trends, respond quickly to client requests and needs, and our extensive technical skills gives us the edge we need to lead the way in our industry.
