Hastings Technology Metals Ltd is a Perth-based mining company developing the Yangibana Rare Earths and Niobium Project in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The Yangibana orebody is NdPr-rich, with NdPr comprising up to about half of the ore's total rare earth oxide in some zones, positioning the project as a potential global source of neodymium-praseodymium. The project is planned to unfold in two stages, starting with a mine and beneficiation plant designed to produce around 37,000 tonnes per year of mixed rare earth concentrate and with an initial mine life of about 17 years, while leaving room for multi-commodity recovery streams such as ferro-columbite and hafnium-enriched zircon. The development is fully permitted for immediate development and is aligned with anticipated demand growth for rare earths used in permanent magnets for electric vehicles, wind energy, robotics, and digital devices. In 2026 Hastings expanded its footprint with a hydrometallurgical mixed rare earth chloride production facility in Thailand, broadening its downstream capabilities.
