Small scaled ID A lean, veteran-owned service-disabled small business focused on engineering for military, aerospace, and research labs, presenting opportunities to partner with larger integrators or defense primes on subcontracting engineering services and niche electronics manufacturing.

Defense alignment Position HES as a specialized engineering partner for DoD and aerospace projects that require design, test and measurement, and ERP capabilities, leveraging its New Mexico base to support regional defense and government labs with agile, cost-conscious support.

Growth levers Revenue in the 1–10 million range and a diversified service mix (design, testing, personnel services, electronics manufacturing) indicate upside from contract staffing, targeted project bids, and expansion into embedded electronics or rapid prototyping for aerospace components.

Tech stack fit Utilize existing tech stack familiarity (PHP, jQuery, CMS Made Simple, ZURB Foundation) to offer cost-effective modernization, ERP integration, and lightweight digital tooling for clients seeking efficient engineering workflows and data capture in testing and production environments.

Competitive positioning Differentiate from large firms by emphasizing agility, veteran-owned credentials, and SDVOSB status to win set-aside or sole-source opportunities, while pursuing collaborations with larger practitioners (Stantec, WSP, Jacobs-scale firms) on aerospace and defense programs.
