Health Care Center for the Homeless (HCCH) is a nonprofit health care provider based in Orlando, Florida, dedicated to meeting the medical needs of homeless and uninsured residents in the region. Founded in 1993 by Dr. Rick Baxley, it began as an evening clinic at a local homeless shelter and has since evolved into a centralized health center housed in the Orange Blossom Family Health facility. Today, the organization serves the homeless population across Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties with the goal of helping patients return to self-sufficiency. HCCH operates within the hospital and health care sector, offering a broad suite of services that includes primary medical care, oral health, behavioral health and substance abuse counseling, an on-site pharmacy, and vision services. The center also runs a residential TB shelter, mobile health services, and a street outreach program known as the HOPE Team. In addition, it provides care to housed but uninsured or underinsured residents to prevent financial hardship from catastrophic health costs.
