Incorporated in 1972, the Health Council of Northwest Ohio (HCNO) has a long history of advancing community health through collaboration. Formerly known as the Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio, the organization adopted its current name in 2025 to reflect a broader focus on improving health and well-being across the region.

HCNO coordinates community health improvement efforts, including the Northwest Ohio Pathways HUB and Healthy Lucas County coalition. Additionally, HCNO coordinates disaster preparedness and community health assessments in the region and beyond.
