HEAR Center believes communication through speech and hearing is a vital ability that connects and empowers individuals—dramatically enhancing quality of life and opening doors to the world at large.  Founded on the premise that everyone should have access to state-of-the-art and affordable care, HEAR Center is dedicated to helping individuals at all stages of life be active participants in the hearing and speaking world.  

The Center’s services include diagnostic audiological testing, complete hearing aid services, pediatric speech and language therapy, and community hearing and speech screenings.  All services are provided under the premise that each patient deserves complete, individualized care and that by working collaboratively with a patient’s family and support system, the best outcomes are achieved.  Certified Audiologists, Speech Pathologists and Speech Pathology Assistants provide the Center’s clinical services, while a highly qualified and committed staff of nonprofit administrators manages operations and fundraising.  

Committed to serving as a center of excellence and compassion, HEAR Center provides low or no-cost services for those who need them and is the only organization in Los Angeles county that conducts free community screenings. HEAR Center’s Board of Directors is comprised of members from the local community who support the work of HEAR Center and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance, ensuring HEAR Center conducts activities related to its tax-exempt function.
