Hemphill Wright & Associates was formed in November, 2015 as a result of the merger with Wright and Associates CPAs, Inc. The two practitioners in merging their practices, sought to combine the talents and business resources of the founders in order to provide an additional resource for small and medium sized business enterprises and non-profit organizations seeking quality, cost effective accounting and auditing services. Since 1982, the firm has established itself as a minority owned firm with a diverse base of accounting and audit clients wherein they have demonstrated expertise in accounting, auditing, business development, and financial management. The firm currently serves clients in the not-for-profit, employee benefit plans, state and local government and elderly and low income housing industries to name a few. Hemphill Wright & Associates enthusiastically serves numerous small and medium size business enterprises providing accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services.We presently have a fifteen member professional staff as well as a host of business partners and consultants in our offices located in Independence and Westerville, Ohio and Cebu City, PH. We have performed numerous audits for entities that are subject to financial and compliance audits in accordance with OMB Circulars A-122, A-128, and A-133.These regulations stipulate that audits be performed to determine compliance with laws, regulations, and provisions of grant agreements. In addition, the firm has established itself as experts in the area of low income tax credit and HUD section 202 audits and cost certifications. In connection with our audits of Housing Trust Fund Grants,we have performed compliance audits of EEO requirements.
