HICO America, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, manufactures power system equipment for North America's electrical infrastructure. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyosung Corporation, it operates across the United States and Canada, with offices in Los Angeles and Greensburg.

Founded in 1962, HICO has delivered more than 1,400 transformers to the North American market and has supplied around 4,500 power transformers worldwide. It has installed or supplied about 10,000 GIS and high-voltage breaker installations. It builds small, medium, and large transformers up to 2,400 MVA and can design core or shell form configurations to customer specifications. Its operations rely on collaboration with factories in Korea and China, supported by a multi-disciplinary team across sites to maintain responsiveness and quality, and the Memphis facility expansion occurred in May 2025.
