Higgins & Associates, Inc. was formed in 2000 to provide a multi-disciplined firm providing service to property owners, contractors, insurance companies, and attorneys.   We offer forensic engineering and expert testimony services specializing in the areas of structural, geotechnical, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering.  Our firm also conducts cause-and-origin investigations of fire and explosion losses.

We have conducted thousands of investigations involving geotechnical, civil, structural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical system failures.  We have also conducted and provided expert testimony for construction defect cases and fire and explosion investigations at residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.  We have evaluated fire, flood, storm, water loss, wind, fire, vandalism, deterioration, building collapse, and automobile impact losses for owners and insurance companies alike.   Project documentation, research, evidence testing, and quality control has been recognized as an integral part of the process and each project that leaves the office has gone through our extensive peer-review process.

Higgins & Associates, Inc. is available for conducting investigations throughout the entire Rocky Mountain Region and is licensed to practice engineering in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Nevada, Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota.  In addition to our own laboratory we work with several local and national laboratories and experts to ensure our clients receive the most accurate information available.  Depending on the nature and size of the loss, we offer services to develop repair plans for damaged structures and provide construction administration and quality assurance services.  Our company focuses on providing excellent customer service, which includes issuing engineering reports with background information, photographic documentation, schematic documentations, and repair recommendations as needed.
