While Highroad consults on all modes for domestic and international shipments, we specialize in rail transportation. Our analytical models and software are second to none.  With VIEWPOINT™, our analytical model to benchmark rail rates, we identify rates paid by your direct competitors to access specific customers and destination markets, and we calculate your carriers’ operating costs with our copyrighted rail costing model, INSIGHT: RailEdition© to test the pricing elasticity of the rates.  We look beyond the obvious and frequently find carrier overcharges and opportunities to reduce/mitigate demurrage.  

Our newest model, REIDI™ (Regional Economic/Industrial Development Initiative), was developed to address capacity issues due to the shortage of truck drivers.  Projects include mode conversion strategies, network design, and economic development projects based on integrated logistics.
