Hillbrook School is a co-educational independent JK–12 institution with campuses on 14 acres of oak woodland in Los Gatos and two historic buildings in downtown San José. Its curriculum blends rigorous academics with arts and experiential learning, anchored in standards and designed to keep students physically active and mentally engaged. The school serves students across all grades and emphasizes learning that connects with communities and the wider world. Hillbrook has a track record of educational innovation, including designation as an Apple Distinguished School since 2010 and dedicated programs and spaces such as The Hub for making and design, the Center for Teaching Excellence, and the Scott Center for Social Entrepreneurship. The institution prioritizes cultural competency and DEIJA learning for JK–12 students, families, and staff, and seeks a diverse and inclusive community reflective of Silicon Valley. A notable development in recent years is the 2018 launch of the Scott Center for Social Entrepreneurship, which supports students working on global and local problems in partnership with NGOs.
