HippieShop.com - Clothing & Accessories inspired by a generation of individual freedom and expression. Our roots are home grown from vending jewelry and craft items in the parking lot of Grateful Dead shows and Music Festivals. We wanted to bring some of the magic we found on tour to our hometown. We opened our first shop in 1995 in the Meadow-lands Area of Northern New Jersey. People loved the vibe we were sharing. We knew we needed to turn the world on to what we were doing. In 1996 a cyber revolution was taking place so instead of printing a paper catalog we took a risk, learned how to write HTML code and within a year, launched HippieShop.com. We are honored to be the world's first hippie shop to take grasp of a new technology called the Internet. Today we are living our dream. Providing fellow music fans, friends and family with clothing & accessories inspired by a generation of individual freedom and expression. We love and support the musicians from the Psychedelic 60's to the modern day Festival & Jam bands. HippieShop is proud to offer our own products as well as a variety items from unique distributors and manufactures. In doing so we help support many small American, Co-op and Fair-Trade businesses from around the globe. Our goal is to simply follow our passion for life, music and good times. To make our customers happy and have fun doing it We make social and environmental responsibility a duty by recycling paper, packaging materials and boxes, reducing waste and by being energy efficient within our company. With all that we have gained we also love to give back. Not only do we regularly donate. We also organize free concerts, events and giveaways that raise funds for charity.
