Histologics has developed a series of Tissue-Based Technology™ products that leverage the benefits of our patented Kylon™ medical material. Kylon™ medical material incorporates hundreds of “micro-curettes” which are incorporated into single-use, disposable devices used for biopsy as well as wound care and debridement. This agitation through micro-punctation of the wound site, along with the associated friction which produces small amounts of heat, works to stimulate new tissue development, which may lead to faster more comprehensive healing in less time (and less patient trauma when compared to scalpel-based procedures).
