Historic Richmond Town is an outdoor museum on Staten Island that preserves and interprets centuries of American life. Set on more than 100 acres of historic parkland, the site comprises over 30 original structures and millions of artifacts dating back to the 1600s, enabling visitors to explore life from the 17th century onward. Historic Richmond Town, also known as the Staten Island Historical Society, operates as a cultural institution of the City of New York in partnership with the Department of Cultural Affairs, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Historic House Trust. It is the oldest and largest cultural institution within the borough's park system, with origins dating back to 1856. In late 2020 it launched Cabin Fever Reliever programs to broaden visitor programming.
