HJ International Graduate School for Peace and Public Leadership provides advanced academic and professional education for current and future leaders of the Unification community and all faiths, that seeks to enhance their relationship with God, their effectiveness in ministry and public leadership, and their service to the human family. As a home of thought, we strive to foster deeper understanding, contextualization and application of the Unification worldview within a world of diverse faiths.

HJI is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Academic degree programs of the Graduate School are registered by the New York State Education Department at the Office of Higher Education and the Professions Cultural Education Center. UTS holds affiliate status with The Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada.

Founded in 1975 by the Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, HJ International prepares its graduate for professional careers in the ministry and in public leadership. HJI serves as the Home of Thought for the teachings of Unificationism. While at HJI, all students master the teachings of Christian tradition and learn about the core underpinnings of the World Religions. HJI confers four accredited graduate degrees: Doctor of Ministry, Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Religious Studies, and Master of Arts in Peace Studies.

HJI has a gifted, respected faculty from differing religious backgrounds and denominations. Graduates serve in a broad array of missions in church and public leadership, interfaith organizations, education, journalism, law, medicine, politics and business. Graduates have pursued doctoral studies at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Chicago, Columbia, Columbia, Vanderbilt, GTS, and other top educational institutions.
