Founded in 1982 in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts by Eammon Hobbs, the company swiftly expanded and moved to our current manufacturing facility and headquarters in Stafford Springs, Connecticut in August 1984.  The founder exited in 1985, partnering with and transferring ownership to Alberto Ortega. Since then, the company has been privately and proudly Hispanic owned by the Pompeo and Ortega families. 

Hobbs specializes in the design and manufacture of custom diagnostic and therapeutic accessories for the gastrointestinal and pulmonary endoscopy markets. Holding ISO 13485, MDSAP, and FDA-registered, Hobbs Medical has cultivated a reputation as the go-to source to develop precision instruments, contract manufacturing and prototyping and that comply with and target specific requirements for hospitals, medical universities, ambulatory centers, and veterinary facilities.
