HomeFree-USA is a HUD-approved not-for-profit organization, founded in 1995, focused on homeownership development, foreclosure intervention, and financial empowerment in the United States. It operates through Homeownership Centers in the Washington, DC area and in Atlanta and West Palm Beach, supported by a network of more than 80 affiliated community-based housing counseling agencies that together reach over 1.5 million homebuyers and homeowners. The organization's mission centers on improving homeownership outcomes and expanding working-class families' financial skills to foster self-sufficiency and wealth-building.

Its services address the needs of working-class families pursuing homeownership and at-risk homeowners requiring foreclosure workout plans, providing information, guidance, and counseling. In 2025, HomeFree-USA partnered with Freddie Mac to offer the Develop the Developer Academy, a program designed to help emerging developers from underrepresented backgrounds.
