Homeless Children's Network is a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization in the mental health care field, founded in 1992. Its mission is to reduce the trauma associated with homelessness and domestic violence for children, youth, and families, and to strengthen families while improving how service providers work together to end homelessness and poverty. The organization delivers on-site mental health services, family support, community development and education, and early childhood mental health consultation. These programs are provided at emergency shelters, domestic violence and transitional shelters, single-room occupancy hotels, schools, childcare centers, and permanent supportive housing sites. Its work targets homeless children, youth, and families, as well as the networks of service providers involved in addressing homelessness, with a focus on underserved and historically marginalized communities in the city.
