From the day a child is born the countdown begins. We have a short time to do the critically important work of preparing each child to take on the world. This is the reason the Mequon-Thiensville School District exists—to launch our children to a promising future. The Mequon-Thiensville School District (MTSD) is a high-performing public school district located in the North Shore suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. MTSD serves students in grades 4K - 12 in the City of Mequon and Village of Thiensville - communities that embrace world-class learning opportunities and rich arts, athletics and co-curricular activities. The district is comprised of some 3,700 students and approximately 400 employees across a total of six schools (Donges Bay Elementary, Oriole Lane Elementary, Wilson Elementary, Lake Shore Middle, Steffen Middle, and Homestead High). MTSD consistently "Significantly Exceeds Expectations" according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and also boasts three "National Blue Ribbon Schools" per the U.S. Department of Education.
