Evergreen Valley College is a higher education institution based in San Jose, California, and part of the San José/Evergreen Community College District within the California Community College System. Founded in 1975, it began with about 3,000 students and has grown to enroll more than 15,000 learners from roughly 70 countries, contributing to a notably diverse campus community. Bond-funded facilities have expanded its offerings with additional classrooms and labs for sciences and nursing, a new library, a center for student life, and the Montgomery Hill Observatory, while the arts center opened in 2009. The college's history traces back to planning in 1964, with site acquisition in 1967 and formal naming in 1970. Vinicio J. López was named president in August 2024 following a nationwide search.
