The Purchasing Department is a member of the administrative team of Hood County. The Purchasing Administrative team consists of a Purchasing Agent, Assistant Purchasing Agent, Inventory/Buyer, and Mail Clerk. The Purchasing Department is charged with the responsibility of purchasing all supplies, materials and equipment required by County departments and contracts for all repairs to property. The Purchasing Department is also responsible for all mail and mailroom related needs and services. In addition, it is responsible for the supervision of all purchases made on competitive bid, auctions of surplus property, Cooperative Purchasing arrangements and a physical inventory of fixed and non-fixed assests.
