Horsham Township is a local government municipality in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It traces its origins to 1717, when Samuel Carpenter established the community that took its name from Horsham in England, and it has operated under a Home Rule Charter since 1975, independent of the Pennsylvania Township Code. The township covers about 17 square miles and provides public services and infrastructure management for residents and several surrounding ZIP code areas. Its main office sits at 1025 Horsham Road, and the community supported a population of 26,147 at the 2010 census. In 2026, Horsham Township announced partnerships with the National Fitness Campaign and Independence Blue Cross to relaunch its Fitness Court and offer a renovated, free outdoor gym at Lukens Park for users of all fitness abilities. This reflects ongoing efforts to expand public amenities and services for residents.
