Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison is a mid-sized organization based in Ossining, New York, focused on expanding educational opportunities for people affected by incarceration. Formed in 1998 after state and federal support for college programs in New York prisons ended, it provides college coursework, life skills, and re-entry support to currently and formerly incarcerated individuals, with the aim of reducing recidivism, incarceration, and poverty while strengthening families and communities. The organization operates within the education administration field, partnering with eight colleges to run credit-bearing and degree-granting programs at Sing Sing, Green Haven, Shawangunk, and Taconic Correctional Facilities. Since its inception, Hudson Link has granted more than 1,300 degrees and counts over 2,000 alumni who have been released and are contributing to their communities. In 2026, Hudson Link announced a collaboration with Mercy College and celebrated the graduation of 28 incarcerated scholars at Sing Sing.
