The Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS (HAAR) is a real estate trade association based in Huntsville, Alabama, with 11 to 50 employees and a headquarters at 535 Monroe Street, Huntsville, AL 35801, United States. It is a 1,500-member organization of real estate professionals engaged in residential and commercial sales and leasing, appraisal, and related activities. Founded in 1948 and incorporated on December 2, 1948, HAAR was associated with state and national real estate organizations, changed its name to Huntsville Board of REALTORS between 1951 and 1953, and later adopted The Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS name. The association oversees ValleyMLS, its MLS platform, with the public ValleyMLS.com site launched in 1999 alongside the North Alabama MLS, and it has operated since as the ValleyMLS service. As of 2013, HAAR began the year with roughly 1,500 members and was the second-largest association in the state. In 2026, ValleyMLS announced a three-way MLS data share with First Multiple Listing Service (FMLS) and Greater Chattanooga REALTORS, expanding access to listings across Alabama, Georgia, and Eastern Tennessee.
