Hydro Consulting and Maintenance Services (HCMS) is now a division of Thompson Construction Group, Inc.  HCMS was founded and organized with the concept of providing highly trained and qualified, industry proven, “hands on” Hydro Specialists for consulting, maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation services to the Hydro Power Industry.

The hydro services market has been addressed over the past century, mainly by the OEM’s 
(Turbine and Generator Manufacturers) which can be slow to react due to their size with high overheads making their Hydro Services Business typically high priced.  HCMS has differentiated themselves by offering many of the same Technical Services as the OEM’s with our highly trained and skilled personnel, with quicker response times and at a lower cost. 

HCMS has attracted and maintained a loyal customer base through our customer-oriented focus on business.  All Technical Employees are highly skilled, continually trained, and held responsible for providing superior service and developing a long lasting trust bond with customers.  This is very important, especially in the hydro services industry where the end users are a small and well connected group through annual hydro conferences and information sharing. 

In 2015 HCMS is poised to deliver exceptional service throughout the continental U.S.A, with business units located in York Pennsylvania, Hayden Idaho, and Little Rock Arkansas. 

HCMS has been growing steadily in recent years, with yearly sales values exceeding $20M. The company was acquired by Thompson Construction Group, Inc in 2021.
