Hyphen and Co creates timeless spaces for commercial, residential and hospitality clients. We are an interior design studio that goes beyond the project, beyond the predictable. We are guided by the possibilities of bringing things together: people, places, ideas, disciplines. Shelly Lynch-Sparks founded Hyphen and Co as a true collective, empowering designers to feel a connection with individual projects and the studio. Shelly guides the global vision intentionally and respectfully, celebrating balance and crediting collaboration. Many designers have been with the studio from the beginning, continuing to shape the future of the Hyphen And Co and themselves. Each project approach is unique. Our style combines formal design training with intuition–as we get to know you, our experiences, travels, tastes and nuances start to find each other. We are dedicated to each step of the process, identifying both the function and experience of a space to reveal its greater purpose. Hyphen and Co’s team of partners includes architects, engineers, vendors and contractors. Our shared vision celebrates beauty, craftsmanship and detail. Together, we are passionate and curious on projects from delicate home renovations to groundbreaking office builds, restaurant concepts to wellness sanctuaries, and boutique hotels to cozy hideaways. We travel and work worldwide out of our New York City studio located in SoHo.
