IAM RoadSmart is the UK’s leading road safety charity with around 70,000 members and 5,000 volunteers. We coach and educate road users, campaign for change and make journeys safer for everyone. Our courses Our qualified volunteer instructors and observers deliver a range of powerful courses for all licenced drivers and riders. Courses include: Advanced Driving, Advanced Riding, Driving for Work, and Drink-Drive Rehabilitation. We work with business fleets to reduce their costs, risk and collisions, and to help them improve health and safety. Our driver trainers, all registered on the DSA Fleet Register, deliver cost-effective business driver training tailored to the needs of individual fleets and drivers. Our policy and research documents ensure ‘safer roads’ is always on the agenda. We’ve helped nearly half a million drivers and riders improve their skills. At any one time there are more than 7,000 drivers and riders actively engaged with IAM RoadSmart courses, including individual and company drivers. Our Drink-Drive Rehabilitation Course has helped more than 5,000 people to reduce their driving ban through education and support.
