Grant funding opportunities ILEAS has recent and substantial grant activity including a $5 million grant in June 2026 and prior PAR and CAP funding. This indicates strong government funding engagement and a potential need for grant-friendly solutions, compliance, and project management tools that align with public sector procurement cycles.

Equipment modernization The launch of an Equipment Exchange program in June 2026 and a major facility renovation completed in 2025, including ITC remodeling funded by grants, signals a focus on upgraded gear, interoperability, and training infrastructure—opportunities for procurement of hardware, integration software, and training platforms.

Cybersecurity emphasis ILEAS partnered with state cyber specialists to strengthen cybersecurity posture in 2023, highlighting ongoing security needs for a broad network of local agencies. This creates potential for cybersecurity services, monitoring, threat detection, and secure communications solutions.

Training and operations With the ITC remodeling and a large, multi-agency member base covering over 95% of Illinois law enforcement, there is a clear demand for training facilities, simulations, and interoperable communications technologies that can scale across numerous departments.

Public sector partnerships ILEAS operates as a broad consortium of hundreds of local governments and has experience engaging with state agencies and committees. This presents a channel for enterprise-grade public safety platforms, data sharing, and compliant procurement solutions through established government collaboration.
