Imago - formerly Voluntary Action within Kent, has for the past 50 years grown and develop from a locally based Council for Voluntary Service, into a successful, and highly regarded organisation, delivering services and projects facilitating social action, supporting independence and empowering communities across Kent – and now beyond into East Sussex and Medway. As we move forward to meet the challenges of the future, and also to reflect our widening area of service delivery, the time is right for VAWK to adopt a new identity to take us forward for the next 50 years. In all we do, we are passionate about, and committed to, enabling people and communities to recognise and reach their full potential; supporting some of the most vulnerable groups and people to develop and grow independence and opportunity. Through our own growth and development we are proud to announce that VAWK now emerges as Imago. “Supporting Communities: Reaching Potential” Imago is a registered charity and Company Limited by Guarantee, working across Kent, Medway and East Sussex. Our mission is to “promote, develop and facilitate social action, supporting independence and empowering communities.
