The Imperial County Transportation Commission (ICTC) is a small county-level transportation governance agency based in el Centro, California. It was established in 2009 under Senate Bill 607 and is empowered to lead transportation planning and programming for the Imperial region. ICTC guides the development of the Regional Transportation Plan and its regional, state, and federal transportation improvement programs and updates. It oversees the distribution of Local Transportation Fund monies, the preparation and submittal of applications for transportation-related funds, and the allocation of Transportation Development Act funds. The commission plans, programs, and administers regional transit services and encourages active citizen participation in transportation planning and implementation. As a regional planning entity, ICTC coordinates with member agencies and other stakeholders to support transportation improvements in Imperial County.
