INDEPENDENT specializes in the development, financing, production and sales of independent feature films. We are director driven, and pride ourselves on taking on distinctive projects from diverse filmmakers and finding the right home for them in territories around the world.

Previously Independent have worked with Jim Jarmusch on GIMME DANGER, Duncan Jones on MOON, David Mackenzie on STARRED UP and HALLAM FOE, OASIS: SUPERSONIC from Mat Whitecross, Lynne Ramsay on WE NEED To TALK ABOUT KEVIN and Kelly Reichardt on MEEK’S CUTOFF.

Recent projects include Alice Gu’s SXSW Jury-Prize-Winner THE DONUT KING, which will be released around the world by Vice Media in 2021; Gavin Rothery’s sci-fi debut ARCHIVE, released globally in 2020/21; upcoming MY POLICEMAN, a co-production with Amazon Studios and Berlanti Productions.

We are producers on the MY POLICEMAN, with Amazon Studios and Berlanti Productions, and future titles include Michael Arden’s THE BOOK OF RUTH.

Previously the sales team worked on Jim Jarmusch’s Gimme Danger, Duncan Jones’ Moon, Michael Winterbottom’s On the Road, Banksy’s Exit Through the Giftshop and many more.
